The sun set in the west,
painting the sky
in pastels of purple and pink
with the last of its light.
And as the the day
receded before the night,
I lingered at the edge,
caught
in the twilight
whose rosy hues
softened the vagaries of reality
and hinted at the fae of dreams.

I’ve always loved sunsets as well. They are so beautiful and remind of what is good in the world.
