A couple years ago, I found myself traveling through Istria by bus not more than a few hours after sunrise. The sun had lightened the countryside enough to allow glimpses of gorgeous valleys in which villages nestled sleepily. However, it hadn’t yet penetrated the morning cloud cover completely, so mist still blanketed the land just at the horizon. A bucolic setting worthy of a Grimm fairytale, complete with mystical, fog-covered provinces in the distance! Mysterious, right? Maybe I just needed more coffee. Still, I thought it might work for today’s Photography 101 theme: Mystery. Enjoy!
