Twilight falls slowly:
shadows lengthening on leaves,
green fading to night.
*Sorry, I just realized I published the unedited version of my haiku in the first instance of posting. (Yikes!) This is the final version.

Wonderfully composed BW image. Lovely haiku. I like it. “green fading to night” What a great observation. Twilight and night always comes upon us before we always realise it 😀

Thank you, Mabel! 😀
You’re absolutely right! We blink, and the day is gone. It’s why I like haiku even more now than when I was younger. It forces me to stop and really look around me.

Beautiful work. I am a fan of all your haikus and each one I read is my ‘new’ favourite. I love the concept of ‘green fading to night’ Magic.

I’m revisiting one of my past blog sites and found your writings again. Haiku is my very favorite form of poetry. I have tended to be a minimalist when it comes to words and that’s what I feel Haiku is. So much can be said in those 3 short lines. I love this and I’m happy to see you’re still creating!

Hi, Pamela! Thank you for circling back to my corner. 🙂
Yes, haiku is one of my favorite forms of poetry, followed very closely by the tanka. There’s something so very satisfying with conveying meaning in three little lines.
I hope all is well with you!
